The Asbury Methodist Youth Fellowship
MYF is a fellowship of youth ages 6th through 12th grades.
We meet twice a week to grow and strengthen our relationship with Christ. In addition to our weekly meetings, we meet
once a month at another Columbia District United Methodist Church for a Youth Explosion. We also take several Spiritual
Retreats per year and have a mission project each summer. All youth all welcome to attend.
Weekly Activities:
Sundays – MYF - 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Wednesdays – WYF - 6:15 - 7:00 pm
Monthly Activities:
Youth
Explosion
On the second Sunday of each month the youth travel
one of the Columbia District Churches for Youth Explosion. The host church will provide dinner and an activity for the
attending youth.
Yearly Activities:
Asbury Hills Retreat

Each year the Asbury Youth
attend Asbury Hill Retreat and Camp located in Cleveland South Carolina, for a weekend of outdoor fun and worship. There
are a variety of activities in which the youth can participate. There is hiking, canoeing, archery, ropes course, etc. By
the way, the food is excellent!
Leadership Week – Summer

that will attend.
YAC – Youth Annual Conference – Summer

Each church in the South Carolina Methodist Conference is invited to send delegates to the Youth Annual Conference, where
they are challenged by guest speakers, participate in musical programs, worship and bond together. They also elect members
of the Conference Council on Youth Ministry, who represent young people at the state-level United Methodist Conference, whose
mission is to “model a means for spiritual growth, fellowship and service and enable the youth of South Carolina to
be ministers in the name of God.”
Salkehatchie Summer Service (May
